It was 14 years ago, at the Cambridge City Hall, where Tanya McCloskey and Marcia Kadish promised themselves eternal love in the very first same-sex marriage in the US.

The weeding has been possible after a decision taken by the Massachusetts Supreme Court on November 18, 2003, where they have found the ban on same-sex weeding to be unconstitutional, has they could not deny the benefits, protection and obligations conferred by civil marriage to two individuals of the same sex who wish to marry.

On the same day of Tanya's and Marcia's marriage, 77 other same-sex couples got married across the state while a hundred more applied for marriage license. Now guyzzzz, this is a day to remember cause same-sex marriage has been legalized all over the US only 11 years later, on June 26, 2015. It's beautiful to know that in the United States every single same-sex couple has the right to get married as every other ''standard heterosexual'' couple. However, sadly this is not the situation for a lot of other countries all over the world! My THREE homelands are not even as close to take this IMPORTANT step! Italy has recognized civil unions for same-sex couple, but we're miles away from getting an equal marriage (to not mention that most Italians are really closed minded over this argument), Poland does not recognize same-sex marriage or civil unions, and Albania? Albania is still living in the stone age...

And what about your countries guys? What's the situation over there like? Write it down in the comments down belouvuvoVV <3
